Getting a Will

    Hey all,

I'm heading towards the big 30 next year and trying to be more of a grown up. A will is something I've ignored as the 20s are good years for feeling invincible but several back issues, a totalled car a few kids later, I think it's time to be responsible :)

My problem is I've no idea what I'm looking for? I was talking to a guy I worked with a few years ago about his mortgage and I remember being shocked that he paid several hundred euro for a will? I expected it to tap out at €100 max?

    Am I being naive here?

I don't have a lot in the way of assets to divvy up and I'm married to the mother of my kids so I imagine there's not going to be any massive issues anyway but I just want to have everything in hand just in case. Would appreciate any advice? Or recommendations for places to get it done in south Dublin?

    Cheers
    Red

€70-€150 should be it. Ask how much before you get any further.

We paid (wife and I) €150 for both our wills. One for what happens is she passes and one for what happen if I pass. If we both go together, our wills determine what happens next to our assets, etc. Yours shouldn't be too dissimilar.

Just drop in to your local solicitor and ask. Your nearest one should be fine. A will is simple.
