Hi, looking for some advice on witness obligations.

What happens if a witness summons is served to someone who has since left the country permanently? For example, a tourist being called as a witness?

    Thanks

Not sure what your legal obligations are but I know I'd consider that you have moral ones.

That couple who witnessed yer man putting his fist through the Monet in the National Gallery flew back from New Zealand to give evidence at the trial.
