Clutch issue

I bought a used car 3 weeks ago,
161 diesel Leon it came fully serviced, test drove it twice and everything was grand.

Since the weekend I've noticed when I'm stuck in traffic going up a hill (such as coming off the m50) and when I go to take off again the clutch almost sticks and makes awful sounding creeking noise before releasing.

I'll be bringing it to the dealer tomorrow for them to check but does anyone have an idea what the problem could potentially be here?

Apart from this issue there are no other issues with the clutch

Just a creaking sound from pedal? You can spray lube on pedal mechanism and see if that helps.
Since you're bringing it to dealer I am moving this from DIY forum.

Sounds like maybe the release bearing is getting stuck. Potentially a gearbox out job!
