Hi, just a quick question about Irish 3G and 4G frequencies. I'm looking at buying a phone online but as it is shipping from China I'm a bit worried it won't work over here.

    The 3G/4G phone spec is:

    3G: WCDMA B1/2/5/8; TD-SCDMA: B34/39; CDMA (BC0 / BC1)
    1800, 1900, 850, 900 MHz

    4G: FDD-LTE: B1/2/3/4/5/7/8/12/17/20/25/26, TDD-LTE:38/39/40/41
    1800, 1900, 2100, 2300, 2500, 2600, 700, 800, 850, 900 MHz

I found out that the Irish frequencies are:
    3G capabilities - UMTS 2100
    4G capabilities - LTE 800, LTE 900, LTE 1800

Am I right in saying the 4G will be ok as LTE 3,8 and 20 are LTE 1800, 900 and 900

    First off, this is handy:
    willmyphonework.net

Secondly, yes, you're on the money there.
    4G: FDD-LTE: B1/2/3/4/5/7/8/12/17/20/25/26

Band 20 is the one that is not present on many chinese phones. B3/8 are Asia and US not just EU so you nearly always get them ok.
