Zircon cleaning?

    Hi folks

I've been trying to get a musty smell out of my cars air conditioning for a while now. Done the usual cleaning but I'm pretty sure it comes from either a condenser with mildew stuck growing on it or a partially blocked a/c drain pipe.

Smell only lasts a few minutes at the start.. and no wet carpets in the car or anything.
    Car is an Audi A5

Do we know anyone in Dublin or Cork that has expertise in this kind of cleaning?

This guy is in Parkwest and may be able to help you out. http://autoaircon.ie

There's a BA thread about him if you're looking for reviews but I found him good.

He did something similar to the YT video you linked, without removing parts, and my car smelled a lot better after it. Might be no harm if you changed your pollen filter (if it's due) before getting it done.

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

Went to him actually in the summer and he used ozone gas, and advised against any foaming products... but the smell was there a few days later again.

I think the ozone is good for a general de-odourizing but to specifically clean the condenser a foaming agent might be needed?

Tried the meguiers brand version of the citrus one shot spray thing you've linked BEFORE I tried autoaircon's ozone treatment...
It was also a very short term solution 1-2 weeks. I think it just masked the issue

Brian over at Spirit detailing had a machine for getting rid of nasty smells in cars.
    Might be worth a call.
