They added 5euro onto my bill saying I can get eir sport for free through the app. I can't register tho because it says my account number and telephone number don't match lol

I can't even ring them because it asks for my telephone number as well and its not recognized

I know I should post this in the eir section but I won't get a reply there until Monday

    Can anyone help me out

Do you have a landline phone? Dial 199000 and see what number it reads back.

No I don't actually have a landline but this was my grandmother's house so I'm 100% positive of the line number

Any chance the account was moved to broadband only? If so the number will be 8881- or 8883- and youll need to find a bill.

Eir don't actually do broadband only. They always include a landline service it's just going to be Pay Per Call minutes used. You'll always have a proper landline number to accompany it.

OP you do realise you don't need to use the landline number to get through to Eir on 1901? Just type in your number as you know it after a few go's you should be passed through to customer [dont]care. Or try sales on 1800 503 303 press for sales when asked for your number by the machine press hash, let them pass you on to customer [dont]care who will verify you by name and address or account number. Problem I imagine is when you changed the account they likely scrambled the number and gave you a brand new one. If you prefer you can request it be given back assuming someone else hasn't got it since.

Edit: OP I just called 1901, typed a random sequence of numbers and got to the menu. I don't understand how you're having a problem.

I've tried now numerous times and still getting the same thing. I give up on them tbh. Should have known there's nothing for free with eir.

It asks to type in my phone number so I do it and it says I'm sorry we couldn't identify the number you entered let's continue for now, so then I press 2 for faults or loss of service , it asks for the number again and I get the same thing again but without the" let's continue for now"

You're not suffering a line fault or loss of service. The number is required for that option to check your phone line - just press option 4, add or remove a service and then go from there.

You'll have to ring back Monday morning though they still don't open Sunday and are long closed now.

Totally wrong. SADSLs been offered for several years now. Check the RAPS or even Eirs pricing documents.
