water well pipe fitting

    any ideas where I could get one of these in Ireland (Cork area preferably) or online over here? it seems they are called foot valves but cant find an irish website for them.

    If you want a similar one thats cheaper then this plastic one is really good https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B008RXS324/ you'll need to use a service like AddressPal or Parcel Motel to get it sent to Ireland.

    Edit> Sorry only just spotted your looking for a 3inch one the above is only 2inch.

    to be honest I haven't measured the size I need, just know that the cast iron one I have is after falling apart.

    Is this the valve down at the bottom of the pump inlet pipe, down in the well? Any decent plumbing supply should point you in the right direction.

    I got something similar from eps water in ballyhaunis but I thing their head office is in cork.

    I'm not even sure the OP needs the type of foot valve strainer that he has pictured. The one in the picture is normally used on a movable surface water pump used to pump water from a river, pond or flood rather than a well.

    Just posted a pic nearest to what I have. Maybe all i need is a mesh strainer? Well is only gravity feed down the farm to the yard so there is no suction from the well.

    Going to try the local motor factors for the Draper one as they do Draper tools.
