Today I saw a nice Ferrari, took note of the reg but wasn't sure of the model. So I put the reg into Cartell dot .ie and it said it was a different type of car.

What I saw was a Ferrari 355, it showed up as a Toyota MR2. Something dodgy going on or jus a mistake on cartells side?

I think you may have been fooled by an mr2 wearing a Ferrari jacket tbh..

    One of these: https://www.donedeal.ie/modifiedcars-for-sale/ferrari-replica-mr2/14089823

You get a body kit for an MR2 that makes it look like a Ferrari.

Replica body kit more than likely.

Always thought you'd have to be a pretty sad person to drive around in one of them.

Diesel converted MR2 with a ferrari kit would be pretty much instant "local legend" status in a lot of the country.

What's that you say? Surely such an abomination cannot exist in violation of natural laws?

Ha ha that's gas. Ya learn something new every day! The donedeal link is to a car for sale in Athlone, well the one I saw was in Athlone also, it was a 93 one though. Looks like this guy has found a little niche in the market!!

They are a disgrace and fooling no one in reality.
It's old hat and pretty sad. I wouldn't be seen within a half mile of one of those things. Anyone who knows anything will laugh about you.

Each to their own I say. In my opinion it's less stupid than putting 14 inch wide wheels and airbags on a passat but sure thats the essence of life.

And they are fooling people in reality, the op for example so I guess it does work.

Just out of interest what would you insure it as?

"What car is it?" Toyota MR2
"Any modifications?" It looks quite like a Ferrari
