I think u are right hydraulic pump worn. Is it leaking oil at all from back end?

I have the same issue with a 4000. It happened suddenly in my case so I don't think it could be the pump. To date I have replaced the o rings in the back axle, but haven't had a chance to test it.

The best thing to do is get a pressure gauge and see if the pump is within spec on the external service. That will eliminate a lot of issues immediately if it is.

You could try a heavier spec oil in the back end first, but the pump is probably on the way out.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.
