    Hi,
I was asked opinion on HKC GSM-G and SC modules. The goal is not to have the monitoring in place, but only the app control.
If the price of both modules are similar, can you get the SC and use only for text or does SC mean it will have to go with the monitoring/app?

Assuming you mean GSM-Q and not G, it'll send text alerts and allow control via text but not app. Can use your own sim in this, so only costs the price of keeping the sim topped up.

GSM-SC allows the app to be used, but you'll have to pay yearly fee and price of app for each phone you want to put it on.

    Thank you for your reply.
Any recommendation on this which one to go for? I see them doing the same, but with the app being more appealing and easy to use. But than its a "life time" to the yearly fee really...no?

The hardware cost for the GSM-Q seems to be more expensive.
Sad that this is not one hardware with option to upgrade or adopt the yearly service. This ways you dont have to invest again if you would like to be flexible on the lever of service you have..
