    03 transit stopped on me, diagnostic computer says solenoid problem
    any advice on this please

    Get solenoid fixed? Is it the fuel solenoid?

    You need to elaborate more, for instance what is the exact code you see in the diagnostic scan?

    Seems to be the pump itself, its a fwd transit and these pump just give up in an instant i'm told, may look out for secondhand one now as van not worth spending big money on

    Is the solenoid not a replaceable part?

    PSG at top of pump is usually the problem for symptoms you've given. In this case pump needs to be reconditioned / exchange. Usually cost between €550-€750 + VAT.
    Failing that - second hand pump and PSG reflash/decode is your only option.
