Wedding gift - Where to buy letters?

I am looking to buy a gift for a bride and groom-the letters of their first name and the & for in between.
I want them in white to put beside the cake or on the top table- it's for my brother and future sister-in-law so I know they will love it.
The problem is- where to get them?
I have only seen the brown cardboard ones or the white ones I saw online are 8cm (too small I think) or the larger ones cost a small fortune in shipping charges from abroad.
I have seen the light up ones for €14.99 which are also out as this is only a token gift, I plan on getting them a 'proper' gift too.
Anyone seen these in any stores?
My last resort is to buy the cardboard ones and spray paint them.

I got the cardboard ones for a house warming gift for a friend in Hickeys in Dublin. They were about 7 inches high and cost about a fiver. I spray painted them and wrapped them in ribbon and they looked fab. I never thought about them for a wedding. Great idea!

Thanks all and especially you sillysmiles. I just purchased white ones at 13cm high for both initials of their first names and the & symbol. Just under €20 for the three initials/symbol including delivery.
    Gem of a website!
