It's dark and cold and rainy outside, and I'm home alone as the husband is doing an evening course.
So I made myself a big massive bowl of Russian onion soup - I'm not too sure what's Russian about it exactly, mym mom always called it that. Could be either the teaspoon of curry powder, or the sprinkle of carraway seeds that goes in.

Two slices of toasted multi-seed bread on top, lots of grated cheese and nuked under the grill, and it's utterly delicious.
When I took the first spoonfull I remembered how I would always burn my mouth on this when I was little, I could never ever wait for it to cool down.

Had the usual Wednesday's home made burgers and chips with beans earlier. Now enjoying a bowl of raspberry jelly with pineapple chunks. I haven't had jelly in ages but it was left over from some Mrs S had made for the grandchildren - very refreshing.

Just finished a pepperoni and chorizo pizza. Was not till I took it from the box I realised it was a pepperoni, chorizo, and jalapeño pizza, with crushed dried chilli flakes and black ppepper.

    Mouth still burning.
