Thanks. I think terracotta would be much more porous than liscannor as it is made from clay? At any rate, I don't want to do it myself but we have no choice as we cannot find any contractor near or far to do it for us! A friend of mine worked in ailwee caves many moons ago and she says it's fine to do it. We've just moved into the house so it needs a big clean and seal. Thereafter, it will be just maintenance! I have 4 children and we all love the floor! It's dark so is easy to keep thank God!

I thought that you were looking for someone to do it. Its a big job. If it's your kitchen be prepared for a few days disruption. The best product I was advised is the one I mentioned above, which has sealant remover, then a cleaner, and then a sealant and also porous stain block. This is what we used and it was perfect until the raw bleach was spilled on to it. Once it was redone it was perfect. I just wanted to let you know my experience, I'm sure it'll be beautiful and hardwearing when done.

Oh yeah. Thanks. That's what I've said. I can't actually find anyone in all of Ireland to do it! I have no interest in doing it myself! But have no choice!
