Problems with head unit - can't find many radio stations. Where can I get this fixed?

    I have a Audi TT 2001, when I got it I swapped out the old tape player for a Pioneer head unit with Parrot Bluetooth. The ariel has never been quite right as whenever I went out of Dublin tis very hard to get any radio stations. Recently it got worse when it could not find RTE1. Now its list RTE2 and basically everything before 101.1 weirdly.

    Can anyone suggest a place where I can get this fixed or are there any guys operating mobile that fix this type of thing?

    Did you fit an Antenna amplifier with the aftermarket radio ? The car needs one for an after market head unit.

    Good question. I'm pretty sure I have something like that at home in a box, so possibly not. However, it had been working fine up until a few months ago when I lost the first station, now several have gone so not sure why its gone wonky al of a sudden.

    The Antenna i think is in the rear windows or windscreen ? Any damage there ?

    Yeah so I have heard. No damage I can think of.

    Any suggestions of places I can go that can fix this type of thing?

    It could be an easy fix, have you pulled out the radio to see if the Antenna has come loose, sometimes the factory antenna connection doesn't fit aftermarket that well. Failing that try another head unit to eliminate the radio being the problem. I'd try these two things before bringing it to place that's going to be looking for money for at least diagnosing the problem.
