    Hi,

Phone interviews are tricky as there is no eye contact or body language. The confidence in your voice is the key.

I'd expect you would need to brush up on the following:

o Aldi in Ireland. How many years in Ireland. How many stores. How many employees. Types of products. Revenue. Profit.

o Why are you applying for the job, ie what attracted you to the advertisement?

o Your experience in the past.... ie customer facing, team player, leadership skills, responsibilities

o Have full knowledge of your CV and be able to answer competency based questions like...

Give me an example where you were forced to deal with an irate customer and how you resolved it satisfactorily

Give me an example of a situation where a team member was not performing and how you addressed the negative effects

If a friend or coworker were to describe you, what would you say? This is where you trot out adjectives like hard working, conscientious, versatile, adaptable, approachable, team player, fast learner

If you were to describe a weakness, what would it be? This is where you can turn a negative into a positive. Sometimes I delve into the detail because I like 100% closure.

Good luck. In a nutshell. Confident voice. Do your homework on Aldi and your CV

One tip someone gave me once was to dress well and stand up for the phone call, both will give you more confidence. What position is it for? I thought Aldi would be more of a face to face type interviewer?

Also, I'm not sure if it's Aldi or Lidl but they have an online questionnaire as well, did you fill that out?
