I enquired about that procedure here in Clare and the cvrt centre just outside Ennis would do it for approx 500e. They remove the seats and chemical weld the rear seat belt fittings and cvrt it. You'd have the relevant paperwork after that. Its up to you to get a floor put into it. Seemed a simple enough procedure. Hope this helps

    Then it's relatively straight forward.
Mods done and certified by engineer.
Go to tax office and change class.

Crew cab certification is no longer available, so no back seat

Talk to your insurer as you could have wall there. Cars converted , as not commercial at birth, may still need private insurance with class 2 added

Nah, if it's converted then the new class is covered so fully commercial.
I would still advise talking to them first as some insurance companies require you to fit into their job profession list to get commercial cover.

Hi, if changing passenger jeep to comm vehicle, do rear dpors have to be welded shut? Someone thought they did...and do rear door windows have to be blacked out or boarded up somehow?
    Thanks

Any commercial jeep I used the back doors could open, but they were blacked out. Once the seats and belts are removed.

As above, you just have to remove the rear seats and seat belts.

No need to weld doors or block rear windows, but might be a good idea to get them tinted if you are carrying tools, etc.
