I have a grundfos liw energy solar panel pump. It was installed 5 yrs ago with the system. The pump has become noisy with a constant humm and is red hot to touch.
The control panel shows the pump running but not sure.
I opened the screw in centre and hot glycol came out. The system was topped up during the summer.
I rang the plumber and he says the pump is gone and i have been waiting 2 months for a new one to come in....

The readings at 11 o clock were
    Temp on roof 42.3
    Min at panels 35.1
    Max at panels 67.3
    Temp bottom of cylinder 17.2
Min temp bottom of cylinder 0.0
Max temp bottom of tank 17.3

Any help would b much appreciated as ive lost faith in plumber at this stage..i rang another plumbing wholesaler and they can get new pump in 3-5 working days.
It looks like he puttin me on the long finger.....

We had a similar noise problem with our pump , replaced it and touch wood it has been fine. It took a week to get the pump sourced however my main problem was getting the timeslot with the plumber to install it . Every Plumber seems to be out the door with work at the moment however 2 months is excessive .Also for solar getting someone to do anything on a system they didnt install themselves can also be difficult.
