So wifey and I have a babysitter this Saturday afternoon... Praise the lord.

Outside of 'de job' we don't get much adult time in the fair city but this Saturday is our day. So pressure on not to make a balls of it.

    Where's new for lunch?

good food, ambience, cocktail or two etc etc

We're good with almost any food types

The Shelbourne Hotel? They do a good, fixed price lunch, there's always a buzz there on a Saturday, and you can get cocktails in the bar. Should have a good atmosphere coming up to Christmas too!

We were in Wilde, in the Westbury, recently. I loved it so i'd definitely recommend there.

The Green Hen or Fade St Social for lunch. Both are beautiful but I think the green hen is a little nicer for atmosphere during the day. My favourite place for lunch and a bottle of vino on a rare childless Saturday!!

New York, make it a long one, tell the babysitter when you land and have a ball

I would second the Green Hen, its a regular spot for us on a Saturday. Great food and cocktails, nice friendly staff and a decent lunch special.

    The Winding Stair.

    The Pigs Ear.

Both places had a good buzz when we dined there.
Gonna try The Green Hen next time.

Plenty of other good recommendations here, whitefriar grill decent too.

Mates of ours with kids loved Pichet recently and we had a lovely lunch in Peploes on the Green last month.

I'd also recommend Pearl. It's a beautiful place to eat and the food is the type of classic French fare that everyone likes.

Definitely do. It's a nice bar but totally overpriced and the toilets leave a lot to be desired!

Can't recommend the pearl enough. Fabulous spot, you won't go wrong. Nice to have pre or post dinner drink in the Sherbourne or dohenys

You do well to avoid zozimus

Pearl was a delight. Huge success. Quite a few euros lighter but worth every cent.

    Thanks all.
