Starting on Friday January 6th on NBC, the trailer points to a show that has a lot of imagination and a pretty fresh spin on the Wizard of Oz.

It has a nice lean 10 episode season too, which should hopefully mean no filler.

Some of the effects look a bit ropey though.

    So to sum up:
    Scarecrow is human
TinMan is human with clockwork parts
Cowardly Lion looks like a chief or leader weraing a lion's head headdress
Munchkins are full size and look like warriors
    Toto is an alsatian.

Seems to me to just be a fantasy series using some names and settings from Wizard of Oz. Of course I'm not familiar with all the Oz books.

    Remember Tin Man? :)

All 10 episodes are being directed by Tarsem Singh so they will look visually amazing that's for sure even if the the story is a bit "Meh" pretty much like all his films.

I've been looking forward to this since D'Onofrio became attached so hopefully it is an interesting take on the story.

Forgot this was starting to caught up with the 3 episodes out so far. It's ok , enough to keep me watching but not what I was hoping it was going to be. I was hoping for more a mature show.

I think it needed more money spent on it visually/effects, the aerial shots of dubrovnik make it look like a poor mans kings landing :D

That said they chose some great locations to shoot.

One thing really bothered me is that Dorothy never once really questioned her surroundings to any great degree and just seemed to accept and get on with it

has anyone stuck with this??? The plot holes they are chasms  has to be ****canned if it hasn't been already.

Like between ep 8 and 9 there are so many blanks they expect you to fill in it's an insult to anyones intelligence.

I complained earlier about it needing more money spent on visuals, but really it needed better writers. Vincent D'Onofrio to have ended up in this after daredevil is shocking , and the guy from Trapped it';s like A grade material to Z grade for those guys.
