Looking to buy a new laptop

I need to buy a new laptop for work stuff, I was looking around, but I honestly just don't really know where to look for the good deals etc. So I'm hoping some people here who have more knowledge then me on this can help me out.

I want to get one for around 500-800 euro, if it was only something like 50 euro for a huge step up I wouldn't mind going a bit over. I was looking for one that's capable for doing more than just browsing the internet etc. I'm going to be using some adobe programs, and hopefully be able to do things like play games on it (not expecting the witcher 3 or anything of that sort.) I was thinking a minimum of an i5 processor, decent GPU (I think most of these have gone down in price since the nVidia released their 10 series), 4-8gb ram, and just something like 500gb HDD, I have external drives I can use.

When I was looking for laptops with similar specs, I was finding them to be quite expensive for what they were, I remember I had a laptop maybe 5 years ago, and had most of the specs above, I think it had 4gb of ram and was the only difference, and it was 600 euro, I would have expected laptops today to be cheaper than laptops of similar quality 5 years ago.

Anyway, thanks if anyone can help me out.

Laptops of today will have more efficient processors, and some performance increases over the i5's of 4+ years ago. The same goes for graphics cards (and integrated graphics chips!). I would be looking for 8GB as a minimum, and maybe look at machines that have user upgradeable RAM, as not all machines allow this any longer.

Ok, thanks. Do you know any places/websites I should go to to look for good prices/products? Also, what about manufactureres, because my last two laptops were samsung, and both had very big problems with the charging port after a year or two.
