Hot Water Cylinder in Shed

I am in the planning stages of a house renovation. One thing we're thinking of is moving our washer, dryer, large freezer, and some storage to an insulated shed at the back of the house. It frees up a huge amount of room in the kitchen. We're putting in a new oil heating system, with the burner being outside the house (currently inside).

The shed with burner next to it is only about 3m from the back door, so could we put the hot water cylinder out there too. Would free some space in the house, and also have all of the laundry etc close together.

Shed would be concrete base, full insulation and wired correctly. Water pipes would be insulated too.

Meeting with builder next week so want see if this is something that is fine to do, or would be recommended not to do.

    thanks

Ideally you want your cylinder as close to your taps as possible, locating your cylinder further away means your wasting a lot of fuel heating water left in the hot draw off and secondary return.

A combo fitted closer to your house may be a better option.

Had a feeling about that. Only one bathroom so no major draw on hot water, so combo would work. Thanks
