    Hi folks,

    We've a problem we're delighted to have but it's a problem nonetheless.

We've had a new DS arrive, only 2 weeks old. Our eldest is 3 and 15 kg and the middle fella is 2. Not sure of weight!

I know we can put the MaxiCosi baby seat in the front which is fine when there's only one adult but if going on a family trip we're caught for space big time.

Any one else in our shoes? I drive a skoda superb which is really wide. I thought we might be able to use a backless booster which would fit no problem but gather there not legal at the age.

We've looked at a multimac system and changing car but money kinda tight at present so if there was a legal and safe alternative it'd be great.

If you are near a Tony Kealys they can help you out. They'll try out all their narrowest seats in your car.
If you want the kids rear facing there's a great fb page ' Ireland- rear facing car seats for toddlers and children' someone there might have you're car.

Just remember that you need to have the airbag off for the baby seat in the front.
You can also put a high back booster in the front with airbag on and seat as far back as it'll go.

What kind of car is it?
The only option might be for the 2nd Adult to sit in the back between the 2 seats.

    yep, thats what we do.
Having the adult in the back with the baby on a longer trip is no harm anyhow as you are on hand to deal with any issues en-route.

The alternative when the eldest is slightly older might be to just use a skinny booster seat / cushion with no arms which is our trick when we need to cart 3 kids in the back

What seats are you're older kids in? Some seats are narrower than others, so changing those might be an option. Also are you using isofix or belting? You might get an extra bit of space if you belt them!
