May need a job

Currently I am a director of my own company which I founded and established myself. I created a product sourcing items in Asia and developed a brand which has received some modest recognition. I have established 2 distributors (Ire+Uk) and listing in 100+ stores in Ireland some of which are high street outlets. I also sell online shipping our product to most worldwide destinations.

However I am not making an income and starting to think I am flogging a dead horse. Currently my companies future depends on certain orders from our UK distributor which are starting to become questionable. Without this I don't see a future for the company.

I am not entitled to anything from social welfare and my wife works part-time juggling kids and her modest job. I have no third level qualifications and starting to get worried about my families future and I know many in ireland are in a lot worst situations. So as a 50 year old ex director living in a remote location of the country with a mortgage what the hell are my prospects for finding employment to keep the wolf from the door.

Are you prepared to move from your remote location? If not, then you need to look hard around that location and see what's available. Network locally, because most of the local jobs will be filled that way. We cannot really help, unless we know the location (don't post it!) or what skills and experience you have.

Or consider posting on the Enterprise and Business Management forum to see if anyone has ideas for revitalising your buisness - maybe there are things you've not thought of.
