Hi, i run a small computer and phone repair business and over the past couple of months i've noticed a steady increase in the price of replacement screens for Samsung phones that use amoled displays. Some of the screens have almost doubled and It's now got to the point where even just sourcing screens for flagship models such as the S6 and S7 is next to impossible. I'm just wondering if anyone else in the business can shed some light on the situation or recommend a good supplier for spare parts?

I just picked up an S6 - my first top end smartphone. I'm not surprised replacement screens for these are expensive - it's a very very good screen. I can't see how a screen could be any better quality put it that way unless it was 3d. I love the vibrant colours and the print like text due to the high res. I agree smartphones cost too much in general though, given that most ppl have them now.

I had to replace a battery and a charging port in mine and thankfully both were only around 9 quid each.

@georgeengine , it would cost 65 euro labour to replace the screen, the rest of the cost would be for the cost of the screen itself, roughly.
