Hi, The council are buying a piece of my garden for a new road. cpo is through, notice to treat is served, we've agreed on the amount of compensation and signed the forms. They were then sent to the legal dept of the council by our financial consultant. We appointed a solicitor to handle things, as that was what they told us to do.That was 4 weeks ago. Anyone been through this process who can tell me how long more we will have to wait to get the cheque? Is there a big long conveyancing process or is it handled much quicker because it's cpo? anyone out there with experience? It would be much appreciated.
