I have PVC windows and the doors only 4-5 years old and there a lot of air coming through them I know how to adjust the windows to make them seal better and adjust frames to square up etc .the doors and windows are correct at the points where they can be adjusted but in the middle of them there air coming in as there not sealed as tight . The original manufacture has gone bust .it like as if the frames are out of shape is there a way to seal up the windows or add a bit to the frame/hinges to square it up so the windows/doors seal better ? Don't want to use foam as it look bad on new windows . The doors and windows frames are straight in middle but at bottom and top there gaps . Buying new doors and windows are not an option. It's kind of unfair that the manufacturer gone now so no come back . The issue I have is with a few windows and two of my main sunroom doors . Any advice be welcome .

You just need to find another fitter that uses the same manufacturer. Most of these are factory built unlike years ago when lads would knock them up themselves. There should be writing printed on the inside of the door/window jams or the outside edge of the door/window sashes.

Over tightening the locks could create problems too.

What condition are the window hinges in?

The builder bought the windows through a company in dungarvan called Deise glazing ltd .Builder my relation so dont want to getting onto him about it . If there overtighed would that damage the frames ? It's the gap between the window and the frame that air is coming in . There no manufacturer stamp on them there just brown oak PVC windows . If the frames are slightly out is there a way if fixing them ? Dont have to money to replace the windows and doors and it's annoying that windows only a few years old are causing trouble the two doors never where right . The hinges are in good shape as i said not that old . Can the seal on the windows be replaced with a bigger seal or gasket to make up for the gap in the windows/doors ?
