Hi all just went back home today and I've noticed the following crack right next to my stair.

I dont know if its something serious or not I bought this house since 4 months now and I've made an engineer come and he didn't talk about anything regarding the stair.

    Here is a photo :

    Thanks a lot

Shrinkage and probably some movement from the stairs , nothing to be worried about , when your painting next get the painter to fill it with caulk and paint over

Its Just a crack in the plaster ,can easily be filled in ,and painted over,
i,ve got 3 or 4 similar cracks in the place where i live now .
    see here ,

see tool to the right of image ,
a small plaster tube kit ,and a flat tool ,as in image,
it could be fixed in 20 minutes .

fill in crack, flatten the surface till its flat .in line with wall surface
    leave to dry .
    Paint over after 3 hours.

Most likely when you bought, the previous owners had just cleaned and painted. Now that the cold wether is coming the materials are encountering their first phase of cold shrinkage and heat expansion.

Keep an eye on it and make sure it doesn't get worse but it should be simply a cosmetic fix.

They look a bit worse. Would need to see them in context.

Take blind off, root out crack a bit more with flat head screwdriver and put some polly filler in it, leave for few mins and smooth off with wet finger...sand down when dry and re paint.

    Hi there !
No cracks on the outside ! I'll check tonight if those cracks were pointed into the engineer report

All well probably just settling then, if there were large cracks outside you might have a structural issue but if not don't worry. A bit of polyfill will fill them, light sanding then touch up the paint and you won't even see them.

Should be absolutely nothing to worry about. Just get a caulk gun and a tube of caulk, it'll cost about 10 euro overall, then snip the tip at an angle and caulk all the cracks at the windows and on the stairs, and level it with your finger there and then.

Caulk suggests silicone? I'd be inclined to use a polyfilla type product.

Caulk does not suggest silicone. Caulk is paint-able, silicone isn't.
    Do not use polyfiller
