I want to build a lean-too at the back of my garage .I have a concrete yard already there which is 20ft wide by 14ft.I basically want to cover that area.Do I need planning? I have a very awkward neighbor that purchased next door and has questioned my windows with the council so I just need to make sure before I commit. The lean -too wouldn't be anywhere near his boundary, it would be the other side of my site but still like to be safe.

Depends on location and what's on site currently.
Best bet is to lodge a section 5 to the council and get an official answer.
