It wasn't showing up for me either. When you click the link scroll down to job search and select Patient & Client Care.
Then it's the first job when it comes up.
    Hope this helps

Hi everyone I am going to be completing a emt course next month. I was wondering what is the age to join the hse ico ambulance. What sort of person are they looking for also how is the selection process done. What is the rate of payment like.

    Thanks
    Kind regards

I don't think there is an age criteria. Just that you have the 6 LC ordinary subjects and your C1 licence. You have to be 18 to hold a C1 licence or 21 for a full C.
Pay is starts at €26,834 with the recent pay restoration. (open to correction on that).

There just looking for somebody who is good at dealing with people, working under pressure, working as with your colleagues well and somebody that has good decision making skills.
They'll want you to know your CPG's and Medications very well.

This might be hard if you don't have experience working as an EMT. There is a nack to patient assessment and treatment and most people need a bit of experience to do it competently. But it's worth a shot regardless of how newly qualified you are.

Plenty of ICO's and paramedics came from non medical backgrounds.

Does anyone know how long the training is if a person is successful in getting a position as an ICO? Is it just advanced driving, operation of the vehicle?!

I'm fairly sure it's a 12 month panel with the HSE reserving the right to extend if they wish. Has everyone got interview results yet?

I'm placed well in the June July panel myself. How many are to be in the class in September? Also does anyone know when the next intake after September will be?

Would this mean there won’t be ICO recruitment again for some time?

Impossible to know when they will recruit again. There was around 70 left on the panel in June 2017 when they had a recruitment campaign

    Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone on here is still on a panel from last year and hasn't started yet or if anyone has a rough idea of numbers left on the panel? I'm on the panel from recruitment in the last few weeks and trying to work out how long I could be waiting to start.
