    Anyone else watching?

A big boob by the ref in Luis Henrique vs Christian Colombo.

He stood up the fighters as Colombo was bleeding and wanted the doctor to take a look at the cut. Doc took a quick look and he was fine but he didn't restart the fight with the fighters on the ground.

The lads commentating, Stann and the other chap??, were shocked.

But approx 1.6 seconds later Henrique had him back on the ground.

Anyway, tune in quick to see this referee's last fight in UFC!

Too late, Henrique just subbed him.

It's the commission's decision in that regard, not UFC. They don't choose the refs.

Don't know what the UFC were doing making that matchup, even considering that Gustaffson pulled out. Complete mismatch.

Fighters get stood up all the time. Doubt it will even be mentioned to him.
But regardless, he's a Brazilian ref, appointed by the Brazilian commission. UFC have no say in really. They have a bit of sway for main events but that's about it.

It's not the getting stood up part that's the issue. It's the fact that when action resumed they weren't put back into the previous position on the mat. The Brazilian guy (Henrique) had top position laying down some ground and pound when the ref stepped in to have a cut looked at on his opponent.

I understand that. It's was quite clear in the OP. It's not particularly common to be reset on the ground.
Regardless as above, it's a non event. I doubt it'll be an issue for anyone.
Certainly won't be his last UFC fight, ignoring the fact that he's ref'd two fights since then.

I would say it is pretty common for it to be reset in situations like that. I automatically presumed it would while watching it and the fact Stann and Anik brought it up straight away shows this. It's not a big deal because he took the guy straight down again anyway...
