Hi, this is a question on behalf of a friend in the UK who believes that he cannot afford to get a new bathroom (needs replacing due to water tank leak from attic). He thinks he needs to get a bathroom place to install it. I suggested that a plumber and tiler should be able to do it as the existing electrical shower unit is fine, and that this would be cheaper. It'll be just a bog-standard bathroom, nothing fancy, and in fact at the very least he just needs the bath replaced and plumbed, shower screen installed, and a bit of replacement tiling. He thinks that'll be more expensive than having a bathroom shop do the work. Which of us is correct? Thanks.
