    Hi all,
When would be better to put the insulation into the walls of a new build-as the bricklayer goes along or to pump it in afterwards once the walls are built? What are the pros and cons in your experience?
Your advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Both very different methods. You cannot blow in beeds as you go along.

What does your Preliminary BER report call for?
    Are you altering this?

the type and thickness of insulation depends on what u value you are required to meet under the building regulations.

Do it after the wall is built if you are going for the beeds.

The preliminary BER rating as per the plans is A3. Is there an issue with dampness of the walls if they are filled with insulation after the wall is built?

Your drawings should show exactly what is the structure of the walls to achieve A3. As others above said 'are you altering this'?

BTW, there should be no dampness bridging, as long as bricklayer doesn't leave plaster on the ties.
