Small Claims Court - Claim is "Settled by Registrar" - what next?

Hi all, hoping I could get some general advice.

I have been digging a round a little, not least on CSOL.ie and I haven't been able to clearly identify where I stand with a small claim.

Short story is I have a claim for compensation with an Irish airline. Case is pretty clear cut, but up to a certain point I was being stonewalled by the airline, so I started a small claim about 6 weeks ago.

Long story short, the claim was 'Settled by Registrar' after 10 days.

The case has been at that status for a further 31 days (in other words case is apx 42 days open at this stage).

I am not sure how this judgement is enforced or my claim gets actually settled (i.e. how amount of compensation claimed gets paid to me), or what if any is the next step on CSOL.ie.

I can't see any 'Next Action' on CSOL.ie, and I haven't had any correspondence - printed or electronic - since I got a receipt for my CSOL.ie fee (all updates have been displayed on my page of their website, but no mail status updates).

Equally, I have not had any contact from the airline.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks for reading this ;)

Collect a copy of the order and serve it on them.

Hi Genghis, just wondering what happened next with your situation. Like you I am now at the "Case settled by registrar" stage.
Not quiet sure what that exactly means or what happens next

I take it to mean they didn't defend the claim?

I'm in the same situation. (Also being stonewalled by Irish airline and case settled by registrar). Did you figure out what to do there?

Just an update on this in case anyone else finds the thread and is wondering what to do.

I e-emailed Swords district court directly (swords@courts.ie) explaining I hadn't heard anything from the airline after the case was marked as resolved. They then forwarded my email to the airline who responded with a sheepish "oops sorry, we just put the cheque in the post today". Received the cheque a week later, luckily no need to get the sheriff involved.
