Incentive bonus paid monthly....

I work for a large multinational and For past 3 years Myself and three colleagues have been recieving a monthly incentive bonus as part of our monthly wages. It is based on achieving a set target based on turn around times.

About 8 months ago our company replaced their inventory and accounts database with a newer updated system but as a result they were no longer able to correctly measure our turn around times to calculate our bonus payment.

The company agreed to pay our incentive in full until they resolved the issue. So for past 8 months we have received payment in full no questions asked as they are happy enough with turn around times.

Now they have said that as they cannot measure us on our old system of turn around times they are going to look at some other criteria to base the incentive on.

My question is that as we have received payments in full ech month for past 8 months under 'custom and practice' are we now not entitled to receive this payment in full without having to meet a target?

Can we refuse to agree a new incentive based on a different criteria to the one we signed up to when we joined the company?

    In general, No.

But, Specifically What does you contract state?

No, to short time esp. as there was a measurable rule in there previously.

Sure you can; and they can measure you on the old rule and conclude no measurable results and hence you're not liable for the bonus.

I don't think that's correct as it's suggesting a refusal to actually measure the results
