Which box would be the best replacement for Sky +?

I cut ties with Sky months ago, and haven't looked back, but I must admit I'm starting to miss my record function, especially now coming up to Christmas. I have the free to air channels on the old sky box, but no Irish channels or record.
So before Sky Q sucks me back in with their ease of use, what box closely resembles the sky functionality? I don't want a Sky sub at all because it's such a waste, we only watch free to air channels anyway, and we have Netflix and Kodi
I'd be looking for record one channel while watching another, ability to set records/reminders(if that exists), simple EPG, and possibly saorview, if that combo is possible? Saorview is not a deal breaker but if it's available built in to a freesat/fta box then it makes sense to have it. (Our tv is not saorview enabled)
That would be the basic requirement, anything else would be a bonus.

I'd be willing to spend €100-€200.

So any recommendations would be welcome. I've done a quick search and see so many recommended but others to stay away from, and trying to figure out which box does what is a minefield!
    Thanks!

Doing a bit of googling, any thoughts on the Humax HDR 1100S? Is that the sort of thing I should be looking at for ease of use?

That's the best Freesat box you can get. Available in Currys, Malplin and Richer Sounds. Has series link etc

That box only has UK channels, just like ur old Sky box

If u want free Irish channels you will need Saorview - your TV might have a Saorview tuner, what's your TV model? You'll just need an aerial to receive Saorview

Tv is old as the hills now, bought in Dubai almost 10yrs ago now so definitely doesn't have saorview tuner. We are in the market for a new tv anyway, so that will sort the saorview issue-once we get an aerial up- rather than messing around with a combo box that's less user friendly.

Cool, now just to find best price for that Humax!

I own 2 x Humax Freesat+ boxes, and they are great, easy to use and ultra reliable.

Any TV you buy in Ireland should be anle to receive Saorview.
