    Help needed
I have a LM bull which came down with pneumonia 3 wks ago. I treated this with notfenicol and temperature went back to normal and the bull back eating meal and grass. What I'm worried about is this constant wheeze coming from him and I'm wondering what is best to get rid of this. Thanks Guys

Sounds like.... you need to talk to your vet. The infection may not have cleared fully.

Have had problems with pneumonia, & got some Rispoval (5 calves).
Do you just add the liquid to the dried vial, shake & squirt 2ml up each nosteral?

Add mixed content of dried vial back into other bottle . Shake well.
Then 2 ml up the nostril with their breath.

It's your best option now when you have a problem. I had an outbreak of pnuemonia in weanlings a few years ago, nearly lost a couple of them. Have been using two shots of Rispoval 3, three weeks apart before they're weaned since. It's not cheap but prevents a lot of problems i think. Still had to give a few shots of Hexasol to clear up some snotty noses and coughing lately tho.
Seems to be lots of pnuemonia about this Autumn thanks to fluctuating temperatures.

Had a bad year with it, since May with a month old calf.
Lost 2 (herd of 9) & another which gets relapse, have to put a program in place from next year

Vaccination is the only job, money well spent i think. Proper treatment for worms before weaning helps a lot against pnuemonia also.

Why would they get it at grass during the summer?

My vet always says that sudden changes in temperature like going from hot days to cool nights during the summer can cause pnuemonia.
Could there be something like IBR hanging around your farm (only guessing here)?
