ROS digital certificate and different computers

Does anyone know whether, if you saved your digital certificate to somewhere like Dropbox, you'd then be able to access ROS from any linked computer? Or does the cert only work when loaded from the drive of the "main" computer?

Move the certs around anyway you want they still work - done it loads of time for many different users.

As above, mine is on a password protected USB key and also a copy in my email in case of emergency

Yes, you can download the cert to any computer as long as you know the password. Email it to yourself is probably the easiest.
