    Is there any particular reason ireland have no direct flights to either city they both have huge population and tourism potential?

    Plus almost everyone from EU to Russia and vice versa needs a visa. Lets just say its not a trivial thing to arrange.

    Summer time there has been a limited service

    Via FRA or CPH/ARN work well

    When I went there I went via CPH.

    As others have noted, arranging visas is decidedly non-trivial.

    Moscow is hard work as a foreigner, but St Petersburg is well set up for tourists as they get quite a bit of cruise traffic. If visas were more straight forward (or if there was a visa waiver programme) I imagine there probably would be service there from DUB.

    Yeah the visa situation is off putting. Easiest route is via Helsinki and take visa free ferry trip.

    I did the visa free trip twice to st petersburg.. Its grand. But limited to 3days.. Abd yoiiu cant travel outside the city. St peterline is company.

    cheap flights with Baltic air from Riga to Moscow, then use Ryanair Dub - Riga.
