Hi, Anyone can recommend something to use between roof rafters? The slates sometimes can be too noise same as wind so to have good sleep would like to get some roof noise eliminate.
Not too expensive thing and easy to put in.

Noise will still travel through the rafters imo
You need to be looking at an insulated system inside or outside the structure.

I know ours has sheep wool and it was 7 cm thick and our insulation man got builder to put extra battens to allow of a breathable membrane. We also double battened on outside roof before putting on slates which hopefully will keep slates in place and reduce noise. Just looking online gives you a good idea of what is available out there. For us though we got a consultant in and as the job progresses we contact them to ask these sort of questions.
There are so many variations of your question as for so many aspects of a new build or retrofit that consulting an e pert is much easier. Costing is usually a big factor of course!
A lot of insulation guys online now posting about these and other methods on twitter... I really like seeing real houses, botched jobs they come to fix and the pictures at all different stages.
