My son (aged 17) and daughter (aged 16) are booked on a flight to Birmingham and back. Would they be okay to fly alone? I know Ryanair are fine with it but it's immigration that I'm worried about?

No problem. I travelled to UK and back on my own when I was that age. If they're travelling on Ryanair, they have passports so they shouldn't have any trouble at all.

My sister and I flew alone to the USA when I was 16 and she was 14 .

Theres no immigration between Ireland and Birmingham.

Certain countries (e.g. Latvia) would have an issue with it, but AFAIK, not the UK.
