Strange decision, Wayne Lordan wouldn't have had the best of seasons.

Have to wonder what this means for Donnacha as you'd expect Moore, Heffernan, and now Lordan to be chosen ahead of him.

I would have said Wayne had a terrible season.

I wonder will Donnacha go full time for Joseph?

Moore basically only comes to Ireland to ride in the Group races

plenty of rides to divide up between the rest of them - second and third strings for O'Brien are better than most other first strings on offer, plus they took a good few from Wachman

Stack job isn't up to much - only talking a dozen or so winners per year, and unlikely to be on all those anyway

Lordan had a great run with Wachman until this year - Wachman went from generally 30-40 winners per year to 7 this year

Billy Lee is better off picking and choosing as he has done this year - his best year to date - plenty of trainers happy to put him up, surprised he hasn't chanced the UK yet- look at Fran Berry and great year he had apart from injury

hard to be a freelancer, given they're all scrapping for those mounts that aren't retained these days

Fran berry was flying in England until he got injured, and he made up for it when he came back from injury.A fine jockey.

Interesting, probably a kind of sop to the Wachman family influence, but he's a very stylish jockey on class animals. Ye never know, if all goes well he might just rise up the ranks to replace the erratic Moore.

Agree with you there, think it shows that David Wachman is going to have a big influence in Coolmore and Ballydoyle coming in to changing times for them in the very near future.
Could not see this have been a decision Aiden would have taken.
Some very nice horses went from Davids to Aidens, think Stack got 25 of a lesser light.

Would have thought the Stack job was Billys for the taking but you can only see McCreery on a further upward curve and getting good outside rides also.Good tough jockey and an all round nice lad.

Cant see Seamie or Chris never mind Hussey or Mcnamara being to excited by this.Would be interesting to see when the first good former Wachman 2yo run will he be on it?
I think Donnachas weight has started to become as bad as Joesephs and I can see himself and Anna taking boxes in Kilkenny after buyin horses in sales just gone.

Lordan wouldnt be in the same class as Billy Lee.

Bar Smullen, Billy Lee is the best jockey riding on the flat in Ireland.

Colin Keane and Seamie Heffernan might have something to say about that :)
