    Hi
I'm new to this forum and all help greatly accepted and will try help anyone I can too!

My problem is in my new Holland ts115 it won't start unless I pump the hand pump every morning.

I have replaced the fuel filter, gasket on the top Of The injector pump, o rings at the glass bowl, cleaned out the tank and put a non return valve on the fuel line and all!

Just wondering if anyone had any advice before I rip off the injector pump to get it reconditioned!

    Thanks in advance

Hi just wondering is there an electric fuel pump on the tractor? If there is the fine filter could be blocked, happened here with a ford 7610.

Don't know anything about this tractor but it sounds like it has a manual diaphragm pump over electric pump.. on the manual pump when the engine is turning over it pumps the diaphragm similar to you giving a pump.. would check that first to be honest..

Does the starter keep turning well when you turn the key? It could be an electrical fault draining the battery overnight. Is there a deadman switch on it?

    Welcome to boards.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

Welcome to boards OP. Not familiar with that tractor but anyway...
If like you say, it wont start until you use the lift pump (manual pump) then there's either an air lock or the fuel line is blocked at the injection pump inlet.
Who advised you to put in a non-return valve on the line. Maybe this is the problem. Most non-return valves have a small spring in them and so the pressure in the line has to overcome this spring force. (Once that valve opens, when the tractor is running, that pressure drops off a bit). There is very little pressure there to begin with, only that from the height of diesel in the tank. Add to that there is also a small pressure drop across the fuel filter. Before you touch anything else in the morning, disconnect the fuel line going into the injection pump and see is there a flow there.

yes and they can be troublesome, not saying it's the problem in op's case

    Thanks for all the response!

It's not an electrical fault the tractor turns over fine and yes there is a deadman switch on the tractor!

It's Just a manual pump ontop Of The filter (priming pump) so it's not ran off the camshaft which rules out the diaphragm

It's a Delphi injector pump on it with electric shut off!

The non return valve was put on after this problem started to happen just to see Was The fuel leaking back over night but no help! Also the fuel tank is down low under the cab!

Tonight I was at her again an the little fine filter in the injector pump inlet (only found out about this filter today) had a nice build up of dirt in her!Cleaned it out an bleed up the fuel system and started it!

Hopefully she will start in d morning first turn Of The key!

Would this small bit of dirt in the gauze account for the tractor hunting (reving up and down a small bit)

Put a check valve in the diesel line to stop leak back to tank.....if it's still losing diesel then....have a look at your injection pump

Dirt could account for it hunting.....could be amy number of things.....report back

I have a ts ,there a heavy enough engine to turn.
If the main diesel filter is getting dirty it starts hunting.
I know that some of the fuel filters sold for them were very poor quality and gave trouble.
Also the lift pump gave trouble . If it ever ran out of diesel its very hard to get it bled .

There is already a non return on her!

Today I ran a dummy tank 5liter can to the pump and a pesto no hunting after it was bled out!
Piped it back up to it's own fuel tank and then it started hunting again! So I changed it's rubber fuel input pipe from the tank to a new pipe and seems to b running OK now (no hunting) hopefully she will fire off now in the morning with out having to pull the manual pump

Iv a ts 100 from new with nearly similar hours.never had any issues with it .very reliable machine. Never even put a starter or altenater in it but can take a bit to start it in cool weather. There must be something unique wrong with your one if it's always been that way?

my thinking. a cut pipe or bacdly sealed pipe

the lambo use to kill me on this matter

Dad bypassed all the filters from the tank and I traded it in :D
