No 4k led home cinema projectors?

I have been interested in upgrading my panny projector as it's showing it's age.

I would have thought that with advancement in led tech that you would be able to buy 4k led home cinema projectors by now? But the only led projectors seem to be budget mini ones?

I would have thought that led would be ideal as we could finally have silent, bright and sealed projectors, I always run my panny on eco mode to reduce the noise level which is nearly always due to trying to keep that hot incandescent bulbs cool.

Anyone heard of anything in the works?

Native 4K in projectors is extremely expensive, best bet is using Epsons or JVC's pixel shift technology when converts 1080p to faux 4k.

I have a Epson EHTW9300 in my Home Theatre Room your more than willing to have a demo if you wish.

But that epson is still using conventional bulbs, The point of going to led bulbs is that they run cool so need for big noisy fans which is what puts me of upgrading atm.

Yet you can only get budget or micro projectors that use led bulbs even though it would seem to be logical to start making home cinema projectors with led bulbs?

Bulb is just the light source.......... LED will start to become dominant though.......

Bigger issue is prices of native 4k projectors at the moment. I'll be interested when they get to more reasonable price points. My 1080p one will likely move to a shed based man cave once that happens.
