    Hi

Looking on some advice about UFH.

trying to get my head around the heating. I had the heating on for 3 hours last night all thermostats on full up to 30 degrees. the place never got toasty and the bedrooms (carpet) in particular were a bit colder than the living area (vinyl flooring). have you any tips how to warm the place and not have huge bills

*also would it be an idea to switch the hot water onto the immersion rather than the gas doing both does that make a diff?
**i have the boiler thermostat on max too

    Thanks very much

There should be a mixing valve on the system somewhere for the underfloor heating.
Some good makes let you adjust the temperature of this valve.
Depending on what the temperature in your screed was before you turned on the heating, 3 hours of having it on may not be enough.
What temperature were your thermostat reading?

Can you see if you have flow going out to your underfloor loops?
Check your flow meters on the underfloor heating manifold when you have the heating on.

I have room thermostats. the valves in the hot press look like rad caps they do twist but have a wire connected and no numbering on the cap. can take a pic this evening. i prob need to buy an actual thermometer to check what heat i am getting.

sorry really in the dark regarding your "underfloor loops/manifold" bit. how do i check?
