    Hi,

Can you open a bank account with a passport that is expired six/seven months?

If not is there anything that can be used in conjunction with the passport, like an ML10 form to open the account.

    Thanks,

    Ray

    Good Afternoon Ray,

Thanks for contacting us here on Boards.ie. You would need to have a valid photo ID for account opening. This can be your drivers licence, college/army ID, Current National I.D Card, or Garda ID Card if your passport is not in date.

An ML10 form cannot be accepted as a valid form of ID, my apologies for this.

Please let us know if you have any other queries,

    Thanks,

    Evie

Is a public services card acceptable?

    Hi Bassboxxx,

Yes you can use this, as long as there is a photo included on your Public Services card.

    Thanks,
    Sarah
