Definitely get the rail. No point otherwise

Hmmm the first one comes with one piece of rail, I was just curious if I was missing something because the additional rail and connectors works out at €190 there.

    €535 versus €725.

You can get away if you only cross cut sheets. . Of you rip sheets you really need 2 rails.

    I have the ts 55. It's a great saw.
If I was back again I would buy the mafel mt 55. Slightly better saw and better better rail joining.
Bosch saw has the same rail design as the mafel .
    The mafel design stays straighter

    Thanks lads.

Can I use the same rails with festool routers?

I don't know. You can get a n attachment that rides on the rail and has bars that go into the hol s for the fence on the router.
