Neither: I would plot (and execute) an unpleasant and embarrassing expose of the guilty party. Including a public shaming.

I would feel I had a responsibility to remove the risk to others. What's done is done and justice is never going to right that particular wrong but protecting others would be the prerequisite.

Whether I went through legal or more biblical means would depend on the availability of evidence aiding prosecution.

God it's slightly grotesque for us to try and imagine what that really feels like. I disagree with the previous comments, though. It's an interesting question.

Having said that, it probably depends on the situation. If I were drunk and the person didn't make an admission, i suspect I wouldn't. Because it's too much of an additional ordeal on the victim for almost no chance of succeeding.

Again, those of us who haven't been raped really cannot say what we would do. But it casts an interesting light on the fair administration of justice and its adversarial nature in this country.
