    Hey everyone,

In this tax year, I will have only earned around €3400. Does that mean from January 1st I can claim back tax & USC even if I remain in the same position in 2017?

Also, would a claim affect my PRSI payments?

So long as this was your only taxable income in 2016 and you have actually have paid tax/usc on the 3400, then you should be entitled to a refund of the tax paid on the 3400. It has nothing to do with PRSI contributions.
