    Normally on a like for like basis Smyths or others are better priced than Argos, but there's a chance you can get a good deal with this...

    they do price match with smyths, take a picture of a screen grab with your phone, present at customer services, saved 70 EURO yesterday.

    Tried that they wouldn't accept screenshot claimed they didn't have access to internet had to get missus to create hot spot on her 4g so I could tether to mine and look up live smyths website. They made me work for it.

    Some good deals to be had there atm. Argos UK a lot cheaper for same products and you can payonline and get delivered using parcel motel. Or if you know anyone living up north you can get delivered to any argos store for free and get them to pick it up for you.

    I used my phone went to the smyths site and showed them. I understand why they don't accept screen grabs, because you need to prove the item is in stock at the time of purchase that's their T&Cs, and as a screen grab is not up to date, they rightly don't accept it.
    Still though, once you can show the price difference they happily price match.

    Don't expect packages to be in good shape when they arrive at Parcel Motel. Argos simply throw the item into a postage bag without any padding. the only thing I ever got delivered by Argos was in bits when it arrived.
